Garlic Mashed Potatoes

Liven-up yer mashed potatoes with a dash of garlic! For a mellower flavour, parboil the garlic beforehand.




















Ingredients
  • Potatoes
  • Milk
  • Butter
  • 2 cloves garlic
Instructions

1. Peel potatoes and chop into chunks

2. Bring water to the boil and add potatoes

3. Cook until done. Then drain potatoes.

4. Peel garlic and add to a small pan of cold water. Bring to boil, then discard water and repeat with cold water. This step is optional.


5. Heat butter in a saucepan. Add crushed garlic, then potatoes. Turn to coat.











6. Add a splash of milk and mash. Add more milk if necessary.











7. Put into serving dish and keep warm in the oven until serving time.
